INTERIOR DESIGN OF PRIVATE RESIDENCE

A perfect balance between architectural tradition and contemporary design.
In the heart of Palazzo Stefanelli in Florence, this 130-square-metre apartment revolves around a bright living area where original materials, generous openings, and natural light create a warm and refined atmosphere.

As part of the broader regeneration of the 19th-century building, Pierattelli Architetture combines the restoration of existing elements like frescoed ceilings, historic geometries, and period materials with contemporary solutions focused on comfort and sustainability.

Design icons such as the Cappellini table, Knoll chairs, and Arflex Marenco sofa blend harmoniously with the historical context, while the custom Elmar kitchen and Cassina bed bring a touch of modern elegance.

The project’s signature feature is a wooden staircase that “disappears” into the wall, revealing a mezzanine studio—a poetic detail that embodies the studio’s philosophy: merging innovation and memory to create spaces that look to the future without forgetting their roots.
