The necessity of Montecatini Terme Municipalty to join together the two parts of the town which had been separated by the railways, will be satisfied by landfilling the railway. The project aims to be an environmental rehabilitation’s and a real estate development’s element intended to enhance the new free areas. Observing the topography and considering that Montecatini is a world-wide famous spa town born thanks to the water, the projects has been thought as if a natural disaster, “a typhoon”, destroyed all the existing buildings. Later the water and the wind, with their natural movements, created a building complex made by glass covers and steel meshes generating a sequence of architectural elements.
