A former garage overlooking a characteristic courtyard in Milan, a stone’s throw from the ADI Design Museum, has become the new Milanese headquarters of Pierattelli Architetture.
A new design space, the one inaugurated in September 2022 in via Bramante 13, conceived not only as a work environment, but also as an opportunity to stage and represent to the public the signs of one’s ability to interpret time.
The new Milan office occupies the ground floor of a residential building. The entrance to the studio opens onto a welcoming space that also serves as a meeting space: a meeting place for the exchange of ideas and the development of new projects. A corridor – which also serves as a materials library – connects the meeting and leisure room to the actual working area, where two interconnected spaces house the workstations. The space is characterized by clean lines, warm white tones on the walls and blue details – a reference to the Pierattelli Architetture brand image.
On the ceiling, the original bricks have been painted white, giving space to the pre-existing elements in a contemporary key, while small “defects” in the masonry have been preserved and transformed into added values that qualify the environment. The space is completed by a bathroom in shades of a delicate pastel pink where the Reflex faucet – a project by the studio for IB Rubinetterie – and the Diodos doors designed by Pierattelli Architetture for Cipriani Serramenti are housed.
